Yeah, it's been a while...
In the early 2000s, the world's first fan cammers (legit) appeared on your telly boxes every weeknight.
Back then they were on MUTV, and it all started in 2001 when a show called 'Reds@5' had its budget significantly slashed and the expensive presenters, offices and Red Cafe film set had to go.
Cheaper presenters were found - in the form of a human called 'Barney' and his unusual sidekick 'Redford', and they filmed their shows from the MUTV box looking out over the hallowed Old Trafford pitch. This return of Reds@5 was the very first time a football channel had broadcasted a fan-based show analysing matches, performing silly sketches and entertaining the nation. Incredibly, they had the actual key to the side door of the stadium and could come and go as they pleased. Different times...
The show was eventually cancelled at Christmas 2002, but it was brought back for a limited run in 2003/04 under a new production company and a different title - 'Barney and Redford Re:United' (see what they did there!)
Bryan Robson was a regular and they invited TV and sport stars as guests (including Lee Sharp, Kenny Baker (R2D2) and many soap actors) until its run was over and Redford went into retirement (shipping container).
It is time. The fans have been heard.
They're back. On YouTube from autumn 2026.

Watch this space. Well, not all the time, but sometimes, maybe September-ish, this is going to be awesome.
(BTW all this is written from scratch by a human, we're old school)
They were created before technology existed.
But, they came from a time when people used to gather around the telly to watch stuff.
Like they will again...
Please forgive the quality of our screenshots...

So please bear with us whilst we start production on this brilliant show. There will be opportunities to get in touch, and social media channels to obsess over.
But, for now, we have a holding page on the website. So, a little win for today :)
If you'd like to help us spread the word and build momentum then send an email to
fans (add the at sign) barneyandredford.com we'd be eternally grateful.
(we have to write it like that so that the web-scraping bots don't annoy us!)
